Samson's birthday was yesterday, the day the big ice dragon in the middle of the village went crazy.

Sam had been in the Spinda Cafe filling out an application form when the roof caved in. Sam was rescued and taken to Castle Draclugia with the other mons who had been trapped in the cafe.

Pebble wondered about through the cavernous hallways of Merlot's castle, feeling just as lost as before. He was feeling anxious, because he not only couldn't find his friend, but he had also lost track of the other pokemon as well.

Just as he was about to sit down a cry, a blue blur rounded the corner and ran smack into his face.

"WOAH! SORRY!"

The Mudkip that had yelled the apology looked as though he was about to dash off again just as quickly as he had come. Right at the last moment he seemed to catch himself and stared at the Bulbasaur intently before exclaiming, "Pebble? Is that really you?!"

"Sam?" Pebble gasped, as Sam swooped him bodily off the ground in a hug.

"PEBBLE! I didn't know you were coming to see me! Does this mean you changed your mind about joining my team? Oh man, this is great! We're going to have so much fun!"
